Tankful Travels began as a Facebook fan page on July 4th, 2011, launching its first post from the birthplace of American liberty, the neighboring towns of Lexington and Concord, Massachusetts.  Since that time dozens of additional posts have followed, each carefully crafted to reflect the rich and robust culture New England possesses. In 2018, the page transitioned from a social media platform to a blog format, maintaining its original concept, found in the words of the Concordian writer and philosopher, Henry David Thoreau, to “live at home like a traveler”.

Our "travelers" are always invited to "come along" with us as each post delves deeply into a particular subject from a "you-are-here" perspective. Various cultural venues are explored here, taking the viewer on a photo journey that always features New England as its backdrop--a place historically rich in tradition, influence and connections not only within its own region but also far beyond.

We are committed to providing a fresh lens through which to view home, thus creating an opportunity to experience it in broader terms. Whether "traveling" via the blog, or planning one's own excursion, Tankful Travels aims to cultivate a spirit of adventure and wonder for the seemingly endless marvels that define New England, and exist within the realm of everywhere.
